Description
The information Specialist/ID Center is a high-profile position that demands a professional, energetic, efficient, and friendly personality.
Examples of Duties
The employee is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of the ID Center.
Employees at the ID Center have a set schedule and are expected to work weekends and evenings during registration events as needed.
Maintain the Vali-Dine, CBord and CS Gold systems that is utilized by Housing, Food Services, Athletics, Bookstore, Library and all campus buildings with card access.
Program access for employees upon taking and issuing their ID.
Issue JSU ID cards to students and employees daily and during registration (day and evening).
Create and issue temporary ID cards during special events and conferences.
Process super card applications for employees for payroll deduction.
Assist students and employees with super card issues and concerns.
Periodic monitoring of super card activity.
Responsible for resolving issues with ID cards, vending and super card access for faculty, staff, students, and departments.
Issue refund monies from vending machines after verifying there was a problem with the normal operations of the machine.
Create and maintain a list of students and staff with ID card issues/concerns.
Document reports of damaged cards, lost or stolen cards, illegal use of cards, replacement of funds, etc.
Verify payment, insurance, and housing information and issue student parking decals.
Typical Qualifications
Applicant must have a High School Diploma, College Degree preferred.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must have knowledge of office systems including but not limited to Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, phone operating systems, fax, and copy machines.
Experience in customer service and hospitality is preferred.
Must possess the knowledge of or ability to learn and grasp things quickly.
