Job Code: HCP210The Northeast Health District is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing and leadership in addition to technical consultation and training to public health nurses for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI), Tuberculosis (TB), and Other Infectious Disease (OID) programs. The position is based in Athens, GA and involves travel to the Northeast Health District’s 10 counties (Barrow, Clarke, Elbert, Greene, Jackson, Madison, Morgan, Oconee, Oglethorpe, and Walton) as indicated. Under broad supervision, provides professional nursing care, training and consultation in accordance with nurse protocols, policies, and/or procedures.
As the Infectious Disease Nurse Trainer & Consultant within the Northeast Health District at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.
A current Georgia license to practice as a registered nurse is required.
