We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Infection Preventionist/Wound Nurse to join our team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, track, and report infections within the facility
- Ensure compliance with state and federal infection control regulations
- Provide staff education on infection prevention practices
- Oversee wound care program, including assessments and treatments
- Perform regular skin rounds and ensure proper documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team for optimal resident outcomes
- Conduct audits and lead quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Active nursing license (RN required)
- Experience in long-term care preferred
- Wound care and infection control experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of current standards, guidelines, and best practices
- Strong organizational and communication skills
