Pay or shift range: $72,800 USD to $91,400 USD The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons. **Description** **Major Responsibilities:** **Infection Control** • Responsible for notifying the County and/or State Health Department of any reportable diseases, adhering to all county and State procedures. • Responsible for the management of potential bloodborne pathogen exposures • Responsible for the infection control program which includes surveillance; analysis of data; developing reports, policies and procedures along with prevention and control strategies • Participate in infection prevention and control education and MassLeague Forum meetings • Performs education to employees during orientation and as needed thereafter as needed **Employee Health** • Maintains complete and accurate employee health records. • Ensures compliance with state and federal requirements for reporting for employee health • Participates as an integral team member, collaborating with various departments and colleagues, including Safety Officer, Human Resources, Compliance, Nursing Officer and others as needed to advocate for employee health and safety. • Coordinates the development and implementation of all employee health initiatives and programs. • Coordinates with Human Resources pre-employment and onboarding processes for employees. • Responsible for pre-employment testing ordering, result monitoring and vaccination verification • Perform TB assessment upon hire and coordinate with new employees to complete TB acknowledgement form. • Coordinates annual Influenza vaccinations clinics for employees • Coordinate to provide needed employee health information for re-credentialing • Provides guidance for employees on health related issues as needed **OSHA** • Responsible for annual FIT/N95 testing • Performs education to employees during orientation as required to be following OSHA directives • Perform annual Environment of Care (EOC) rounds • Annual sharps assessment in conjunction with clinical leaders, maintaining documentation • Perform other duties as assigned or requested. • Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization. • Point of contact for employee injuries • Participation and reports presented to Safety Committee **Professional Requirements Qualifications** • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in healthcare required. • Current nursing license (RN) • Bachelor’s degree (BSN) preferred. • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. • CIC certification preferred. **Competencies:** Individual departments will develop competencies that will be communicated and maintained through CHC’s performance evaluation system. **Supervision Exercised:** None **Environmental Working Conditions:** Usual working environment found in outpatient primary care office setting. Exposure to blood products, body fluids, cleaning solutions, and medications. **Physical Requirements:** Position requires physical ability to move about and function within the Health Center and perform normal office tasks including computer data entry and telephone utilization. Normal visual acuity and standard clerical dexterity to operate computers, printers, photocopiers, and fax machines; moderate walking, standing, reaching, and stooping in order to accomplish everyday office tasks. Work in the community would require ability to travel to neighborhoods throughout north central Massachusetts.
