We are seeking a patient, flexible, and nurturing Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our passionate team of child care professionals.
- Ensure the health, safety, and emotional well-being of children daily.
- Implement policies, safety procedures, and licensing regulations.
- Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities that foster curiosity and exploration.
- Supervise children during classroom and outdoor activities, including meals and transitions, conducting face-to-face name checks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment.
- Complete documentation such as attendance and incident reports.
- Communicate regularly with families and conduct parent-teacher conferences.
- Collaborate with support staff and support classroom operations.
- Attend staff meetings, events, and professional development.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of classroom materials and equipment.
- Assist with staffing coverage as needed.
- Perform other duties to support the academy's success.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. throughout the day.
Qualifications include an associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood (preferred), meeting Maryland state requirements for lead infant/toddler teachers, classroom experience in an accredited facility, and dependability.
