POSITION: Infant/Toddler Teacher Assistant (Early Education Classroom Engagement Support)

LOCATION:

Head Start/Early Head Start

700 Jupiter Ave, Salina, KS

TERM:

  • Full-time: 40 hours/week
  • Schedule: 7:30 AM 4:30 PM (with a 30-60 minute lunch break)
  • Full-year position

STARTING PAY:

  • $16.70/hr (High School Diploma, no experience required)
  • $17.74/hr (Must have CDA credential)
  • $18.82/hr (Must have an AA Degree in Early Childhood Education)
  • Additional Benefits: Pay increases and a $500 incentive upon obtaining CDA

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or a related degree required OR must be willing to obtain the CDA credential during the first year of employment
  • Experience working in a preschool or childcare setting is preferred
  • Passion for working with young children is essential!

DUTIES:

As an Infant/Toddler Teacher Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of young children. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting children with daily activities
  • Providing direction and guidance to foster a positive learning environment
  • Supporting teachers in facilitating age-appropriate educational activities and ensuring a safe, nurturing space for children to grow and learn
