Our Client, an Oilfield Services company, is looking for an Industrial Welder for their Florence, KY location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • The Manufacturing Welder is responsible for weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture products according to drawings, specifications and other forms of instruction.
  • Positions, fits, tack, and welds fabricated and other components into assemblies according to blueprints, sketches, instructions, and knowledge of welding characteristics of metal. 
  • Selects equipment, plans layout, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metals, effects of heat, allowances for thickness, machining, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques. 
  • Demonstrates an ability to successfully fit and weld all products.
  • Qualified in all positions as required by company welding procedures for the above processes.
  • Operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
  • Knowledgeable in GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and plasma cutting.
  • Knowledgeable and can apply the techniques of flame straightening.
  • Assists and directs other Welders in welding assemblies that are set-up, and in welding techniques.
  • Follows procedures as set forth in company welding procedures and/or specifications.
  • Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.
  • Detect unusual conditions, faulty operation of equipment and/or materials, or specific problems and report to proper supervision.
  • Observe good housekeeping practices and follow prescribed safety precautions.
  • Perform other related or associated duties as assigned or directed.
 
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 0-3 years experience in welding required.
  • Advanced blueprint and weld symbol reading.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate with management and peers in a clear and professional manner.
  • Efficient in basic computer skills: accessing and sending emails, completing online certifications and tests, etc.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any issues or problems that could arise and/or the ability to direct said issue or problem to the appropriate team.
