Keep Mission-Critical Systems Online

Picture the start of shift: production ramps up, compressors hum, chillers stabilize process temperatures, and HVAC holds the environment steady. You walk the floor, scan gauges, listen for changes, and make small adjustments that prevent big problems. As our Industrial Utilities and Facilities Reliability Technician, your day is about foresight, fast response, and safeguarding uptime in a fast-paced manufacturing plant.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Own the health of plant utilities—compressed air, process cooling, and HVAC—so lines start on time and stay running.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and process water systems to keep temperatures and flows in spec.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot compressed air systems: compressors, dryers, receivers, and distribution piping.
  • Service HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, air handlers, exhaust systems, and environmental controls.
  • Respond quickly to utility interruptions to minimize downtime and protect product quality.
  • Track performance trends and implement energy-efficiency improvements that reduce waste and cost.

Beyond Utilities: Facility Infrastructure

  • Complete maintenance and repairs on building systems: lighting, electrical distribution (within scope), plumbing, walls, floors, and ceilings.
  • Keep dock equipment reliable—doors, levelers, and seals—so material flow isn’t interrupted.
  • Support installation, relocation, and modification of facility equipment and infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with specialty contractors and vendors for complex projects and repairs.

Impact You’ll Make

  • Increase production uptime and equipment reliability.
  • Support regulatory compliance (OSHA, FDA, SQF, environmental).
  • Elevate energy efficiency and foster a proactive safety culture across the plant.

When utilities falter, production stops. Your expertise prevents that.

What You Bring

Experience

  • 3–7 years in manufacturing maintenance; plastics, injection molding, or blow molding experience preferred.
  • Hands-on background with compressed air, chillers, and HVAC systems.
  • Demonstrated strength in preventive and corrective maintenance programs.

  • Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and utility systems.
  • Working knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, and controls.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Analytical thinker and resourceful problem-solver.
  • Skilled at prioritizing in a high-velocity production environment.
  • Clear communicator and dependable team player with strong attention to detail.

  • Manufacturing plant with machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Physical demands: standing, walking, bending, ladder work, confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional overtime, weekend, or on-call support may be required.
