About the Role

Step into a day where your craft keeps a modern food plant running flawlessly. At Ken’s Foods in Marlborough, MA, you’ll move from production floors to rooftops and grounds, installing, repairing, and optimizing the plumbing and process piping that power our dressings, marinades, and BBQ sauce operations. This hands-on role spans boilers, refrigeration, compressed air, sumps, irrigation, and sanitary process systems—everywhere your expertise can make an impact.

Compensation: $38–$48.47 per hour

Who We Are

Ken’s Foods is a family-owned company rooted in flavor and craftsmanship since 1958. With facilities in Marlborough, Massachusetts; McDonough, Georgia; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Lebanon, Indiana, and more than 1,000 employees nationwide, our team thrives on a welcoming culture, state-of-the-art facilities, and the tools you need to grow your career.

A Day in the Life

You’ll start by reviewing preventive maintenance tasks, then shift to a call on a steam boiler line. After diagnosing a pneumatic control issue, you might thread stainless, copper, or iron pipe, PRO Press a connection, then pivot to a sanitary weld for a product line changeover. By afternoon, you’re verifying a refrigeration system’s performance and ensuring documentation supports our food safety and quality standards.

What You’ll Tackle

  • Diagnose and resolve issues across steam boilers, compressed air equipment, sump pumps, irrigation, and associated piping systems
  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial and facility piping and plumbing across the plant and grounds
  • Apply deep knowledge of pump theory (operation, troubleshooting, repair)
  • Use pneumatic principles to troubleshoot and repair controls and components
  • Thread and fit iron, steel, stainless steel, copper, and PVC piping; utilize PRO Press
  • Weld (gas and arc) and solder; perform sanitary welding to certification standard
  • Identify and source parts using manufacturer manuals and prints
  • Communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance plans
  • Operate and maintain boiler and refrigeration systems
  • Uphold corporate programs that monitor food safety, food safety culture, quality, and facility cleanliness
  • Work First Shift with flexibility to support other shifts as needed

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Massachusetts Journeyman Plumbers License (required)
  • Certified sanitary welder (preferred)
  • EPA Universal (preferred)
