Make reliability your craft

Drive stability and efficiency across our Cleveland plant by blending hands-on troubleshooting with disciplined, data-informed improvements—all in close collaboration with the Engineering Manager and the department’s Plant Superintendent.

Your impact

  • Stabilize production: Diagnose and resolve equipment and process issues, including process control systems.
  • Elevate quality: Use SPC to reduce variability and improve batch performance.
  • Cut waste: Contribute to cost reduction and process reliability/quality initiatives.
  • Deliver improvements: Coordinate efficiency initiatives through to measurable, sustained benefits.
  • Build capital capability: Participate in and develop skills via small-scale capital projects.
  • Source smartly: Partner with vendors on specifications, product evaluations, and procurement.
  • Mobilize resources: Align in-house maintenance and outside contractors for timely repairs and upgrades.
  • Design flow: Analyze space, workflow, and equipment layout to maximize throughput and safety.

  • General Employee Training (annual)
  • Hazardous Waste / RCRA (annual)
  • DOT General Awareness (every 3 years)

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology (ABET accredited).
  • Demonstrated project management success and cross-department process improvement experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; results-driven and team-oriented.
  • Strong technical, written, and verbal communication; solid problem-solving; emerging leadership.

Communication capabilities

  • Clear, concise communicator across written and verbal channels.
  • Effective presenter; comfortable addressing inquiries and complaints.
  • Consistently courteous, tactful, and respectful.

Tools and competencies

  • Upholds confidentiality; meets tight deadlines; independently manages workload.
  • Champion of a harassment-free environment and collaborative teamwork.
  • Detail-focused; advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and office suite proficiency.
  • AutoCAD and Autodesk Fusion 360 proficiency.
  • Familiar with PLCs and Ladder Logic programming.
  • Reads blueprints/architectural drawings; creates and interprets P&IDs.
  • Understands complex plant systems (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, boilers, etc.).
  • Responds efficiently to utility or system disruptions.
  • Strong contractor coordination and follow-through (in person, phone, email).
  • Manufacturing background preferred.
  • Expertise in problem identification, data collection/analysis, fact-finding, and conclusion development.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments; available for off-shift work as business needs dictate.
