Qualifications:
· Must be dependable, open to changes and new ideas, adaptable to new situations and challenges, and use time wisely.
· The ability to accomplish a task with concern for all the areas involved, including the ability to notice inconsistencies/faults in parts, equipment, or production processes to prevent faulty products leaving the facility.
· Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials associated with both positions.
· Skill in estimating time and material requirements of work projects assigned.
Skill in both verbal and written communication.
Paint
· Assists in schedules, assigns, and plans the work of paint team members.
· Estimates material and labor needed for each job and monitors the acquisition and use of materials.
· Assists in in training and informs team members of new work methods or procedures, changes in safety regulations, and work policies.
· Directs, manages, and coordinates activities of team members engaged in mixing paint, preparing surface of objects to be painted, painting object, and drying or baking paint on object. May compute paint mixture formulas.
· May inspect painted surfaces for paint coverage, flow of paint, and color quality.
Slag
· Directs and coordinates activities of all slag team members.
· Assists in schedules, helps assign, and plans the work of slag team members.
· Estimates material and labor needed for each job and monitors the acquisition and use of materials.
· Assists in training and informs team members of new work methods or procedures, changes in safety regulations, and work policies.
Under the direction and supervision of the Department Supervisor and in cooperation with other team members, paints trailer chassis, axels, and miscellaneous parts per specifications and in accordance with the production schedule.
