Our client is seeking a Project Technical Leader to serve as the primary technical authority throughout the full lifecycle of complex engineering projects. This position will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, oversee technical deliverables, support equipment selection and system design, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role offers significant customer interaction and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all technical aspects of assigned engineering projects from proposal through final execution.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
  • Review customer specifications and participate in technical proposal development and bid reviews.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders throughout project execution.
  • Support equipment sizing, technical documentation, system design, and engineering reviews.
  • Collaborate with Procurement by developing technical RFQs, evaluating supplier proposals, and resolving technical manufacturing issues.
  • Support construction, commissioning, and quality teams by resolving technical challenges and ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on project execution, quality, schedule, and cost performance.
  • Partner closely with Project Management, Supply Chain, and Engineering leadership to deliver successful customer outcomes.

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience leading technical engineering projects within industrial manufacturing, process equipment, or engineered systems.
  • Strong project coordination and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Experience working directly with customers, suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial equipment, piping, or process engineering is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and CAD software.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment with occasional travel.
