The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in tooling design, weld tooling/templates, and 3D CAD modeling , along with strong manufacturing and industrial engineering knowledge. This role requires onsite presence and close collaboration with cross-functional teams, vendors, and customers to support production, continuous improvement, and process optimization.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and validate tooling, weld templates, and assembly fixtures.Develop and implement manufacturing/industrial engineering solutions to support production.Utilize 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA) for design and modeling.Plan and optimize assembly processes to improve efficiency and quality.Design material handling equipment, racking systems, carts, and special-purpose devices.Validate racks and carts for load capacity and safety compliance.Create/update SOPs, change notices (CN), and documentation of use (DOU).Develop manufacturing process flows to reduce cost and improve productivity.Implement Lean manufacturing practices and support 5S initiatives.Design gauges, templates, and tools to improve quality and productivity.Support material flow optimization and standardization processes.Provide daily project follow-ups, customer interactions, and status reviews.Collaborate with onsite managers and offshore teams to ensure smooth project execution.Engage with vendors to fulfill project requirements.Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Required Skills & Qualifications3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering .Proven expertise in tooling design, weld tooling/templates, and assembly tooling .Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA) .Experience in material handling equipment, racks, carts, and fixtures design.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and 5S implementation.Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer interaction skills.Must be a US Citizen (mandatory requirement).Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type Employment type ContractJob function Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Global Connect Technologies by 2xSign in to set job alerts for “Industrial Manufacturing Engineer” roles.
