JOB TITLE: INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN III
JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY Performs routine maintenance and inspection of the production process equipment, the utility support systems and the production rooms for Kagome Foods, Inc. production lines. Support the review, understanding and compliance of all programs, policies and procedures contained in the Food Safety and Quality Management System.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES % OF ITEM TIME
80% Performs routine maintenance of the production equipment. Performs tasks of greasing, chain oiling, and lubrication. Troubleshooting mechanical, and electrical equipment problems. Repairs and overhauls equipment. Always seeking continuous self-improvement, the improvement of equipment, and the work environment.
10% Supports non-routine maintenance activities including the installation of new equipment. Setup clearances on filler.
5% Install electrical for new equipment, orders parts, lubricants, and supplies pertinent to maintaining equipment. Maintain accurate records. Help keep oil storage area clean and organized at all times.
5% Perform other duties as needed or assigned by supervisor

EDUCATION LEVEL AND FOCUS: High school diploma or equivalent with Electrical and Mechanical vocational training or a combination of education and experience.
YEARS AND TYPE OF RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Three years of industrial maintenance experience with emphasis on PC based programs. Trouble Shoot high and low voltage equipment and controls. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics. Fundamentals of PLC based equipment.
TRAINING EXPECTATIONS This level must meet the following criteria, Hazwoper, SCBA, First Aid/CPR certifications and must be trained in proper Emergency Response Procedures. If these requirements are not met within a 2 year period, the Human Resource or Maintenance Manager may require compliance to continue in this job position.
