Job Description Summary
The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for performing all related tasks necessary to repair, upgrade and maintain the facility, equipment and grounds. Provide technical advice and recommendations for facility and equipment repairs, modifications and installations (ie. Feasibility, Design, Layout & Cost.) Provide 24 hour on call service 26 weeks per year.

Duties and Responsibilities
Comprehends and follows applicable departmental and corporate procedures and assists with development of new procedures that are related to an industrial maintenance environment.
• Knowledgeable and complies with requirements for G.M.P.s, F.D.A., U.S.D.A., O.S.H.A., E.P.A. and I.S.O. as related to maintenance functions in industrial environment. • Familiar with and understands local and state code requirements or electrical, mechanical and plumbing compliance. • Perform facility and equipment preventive maintenance including data entry and assistance in the revision of P.M. being performed by maintenance and equipment operators. • Troubleshoot equipment and facility problems, perform necessary repairs when feasible and or recommend alternatives such as outsourcing. • Obtain installation and repair quotes for outside services, recommend vendor and coordinate service through completion. • Assist with maintenance projects and coordinate projects that best utilize their technical skills and abilities. • Develop vendor contacts for purchasing specialized parts or services and can offer technical information as needed. • Must be available for on call rotation with a response time of 1 hour. • Any tasks deemed reasonable by supervisor. • Act as a backup for the Facilities Manager, as required.

Physical Requirements
Heavy lifting and maneuvering of over 100 lbs. Standing, bending, kneeling, sitting, climbing, walking and carrying for extended periods. Precise manipulation of objects using fingers, hands, wrist and shoulders. Working in temperatures ranging from -5 to 115 degrees (F) for extended periods. No vertigo or claustrophobic conditions. Non sensitivity with maintenance cleaning solvents and chemicals.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or educational equivalent. Minimum of 3 years hands on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in facility maintenance areas including electrical, plumbing and HVAC, PLC experience is beneficial. Accurate with mechanical/electrical mathematical calculations and can read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics. Proficient with personal computer operation, SAP experience is beneficial. Experienced in dealing with subcontractors. Valid Georgia driver's license.
