Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a long-term opportunity with a food manufacturing facility in Clackamas, OR. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and food quality.
*Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday (Swing or Graveyard Shift Available)
*Pay: $28.77 – $38.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
•Follow all safety protocols and maintain compliance with GMP and Global Food Safety standards
•Troubleshoot and repair equipment including conveyors, compressors, chillers, robots, and PLC-controlled systems
•Diagnose and resolve mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic issues
•Perform and document preventative and routine maintenance
•Inspect, dismantle, and reassemble machinery; repair or replace parts as needed
•Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and manuals
•Perform fabrication and welding (mild and stainless steel); rebuild equipment
•Complete work orders and maintenance logs accurately
•Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements
•Coordinate with vendors and contractors; order parts and services as needed
•Train team members on safe equipment operation
•Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
•Complete special projects and additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
•2+ years of manufacturing or production maintenance experience
•1+ year of hands-on mechanical and/or electrical repair experience
•Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine shop tools
•Ability to read schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints
•Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
•LME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) License preferred
•Stainless steel sanitary welding experience is a plus
