A day in this role

You arrive, power up your line, and run through your startup checks. You set up both straightforward and more advanced industrial machines to hit throughput targets. Scales are calibrated, box tickets are ready, and materials are staged by sit-down forklift so production never pauses. Throughout the shift, you keep the area spotless, complete production and quality logs with precision, and jump in to troubleshoot equipment hiccups before they become downtime.

When material arrives, you compute weights using gross, tare, and net values, clean boxes, lids, and skids, and record information clearly and legibly. You coordinate with teammates in quick huddles, keep systems fed with material, and safely operate forklifts and aerial lifts. You’ll retrieve, stage, and store materials in the correct locations and maintain warehouse cleanliness. Before you clock out, you perform basic cleaning and maintenance on machines and production equipment and secure your company-issued toolbox and tools.

What you’ll do

  • Set up and run simple to complex industrial machinery to maintain proper throughput.
  • Perform routine cleaning and general maintenance on machines and production equipment.
  • Complete production and quality-control logs accurately and on time.
  • Calculate gross, tare, and net weights using a calculator/adding machine and industrial scale.
  • Prepare packaging: thoroughly clean boxes, lids, and skids; write box tickets neatly and correctly.
  • Operate forklifts and aerial lifts safely; keep systems supplied via sit-down forklift.
  • Retrieve, stage, and store materials; sustain a clean, organized warehouse.
  • Participate in shift meetings and training; communicate effectively with coworkers.
  • Maintain accountability for company-issued toolbox and tools.

What you’ll bring

  • Mandatory: 2 years of forklift experience.
  • Comfort using a calculator, adding machine, and industrial scale for basic math.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, and move up to 65 pounds.
  • Strong problem-solving skills: troubleshoot equipment, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail while multi-tasking and performing focused work.
  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend up to 80% of the shift, with or without accommodation.
  • Clear communicator with a strong work ethic.
  • Stamina to stand for long periods and get on/off a forklift multiple times per shift.

Compensation, schedule, and benefits

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Pay: From $16.00 per hour
  • Schedule: 12-hour shift; Swing Shift Schedule
  • Work Location: In person
  • Benefits: 401(k), 401(k) matching, Health, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
