Job Summary
The Plant Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment. This position performs routine industrial and office cleaning, supports facility organization, completes basic maintenance tasks, and assists with general housekeeping to ensure the plant operates efficiently and meets cleanliness and safety standards.
Job Description
Clean and maintain production areas and other facility spaces
Perform routine industrial cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and sanitizing
Organize, sort, and maintain the parts room to ensure materials are neat and easily accessible
Perform light facility maintenance, including hanging signs, shelving, or other fixtures as needed
Operate a power washer to clean equipment, floors, and exterior areas.
Perform carpet cleaning on a periodic basis
Restock cleaning supplies and notify management when inventory is low
Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety policies and procedures
Assist with other housekeeping and facility support tasks as assigned
Skills Required
Ability to work in a manufacturing or plant environment
Previous industrial or commercial janitorial experience
Experience operating a forklift (preferred but not required)
Experience with power washing and commercial carpet cleaning
Basic maintenance experience using common hand tools
Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial facility
Ability to perform frequent bending, walking, standing, and reaching throughout the shift
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized facility
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Education/Training/Certifications
High School diploma or GED
Additional Requirements
Must be able to pass drug screen & criminal background check
Shift Hours: Mon to Fri, 7:00am - 4:30pm
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
Pay Rate/Salary
$16.00hr. - $17.00/hr. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors
