Summary:
Set up and operate various types of computerized and state-of-the-art nondestructive test equipment determining the most effective inspection methods to be used for each specific application.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Read, interpret and perform all operations as necessary per drawings and/or work instructions;
General knowledge of all other shop processes;  
Multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and does so with minimal supervision;
Perform TPMs on equipment;
All Duties, Responsibilities, and Skills as required for Quality Inspector I Job Description;
Perform eddy current, ultrasonic, FPI/PT, and Acetone/PT inspections;
Assist with on the job training, certification efforts and consistently meets production requirements;
Perform other such duties that may be required.

Knowledge, Skills & Education:

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; or at least three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employees working environment maybe loud.  The employee may be required to adhere to MHPSA and customer safety procedures including but not limited to, the use of personal protection equipment (hardhat, safety glasses, goggles, hearing and fall protection). The employee may be required to work over their scheduled 8 hour shifts and weekends based off of business needs to support our customers.
