Responsible for the design, implementation and ongoing management of the industrial hygiene program across the Advocate Health enterprise. Manages the process for the identification, evaluation and control measures targeting occupational health hazards. Responsible for overall exposure assessments for chemical, physical, biological and ergonomic stressors within the work environment. This role possesses an extensive understanding of industrial hygiene principles, relevant regulations (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, etc.) and best practices for hazard recognition and mitigation. Manages and directs a team of certified industrial hygienists conducting exposure monitoring, hazard identification, emergency hazardous materials response and regulatory loss control activities across the enterprise.
