Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services.
2. Preparing detailed costing and pricing models for the fabrication of industrial components and assemblies.
3. Conducting special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
4. Consulting with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
5. Working closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure accurate understanding of the scope of work and to develop the most cost-effective solutions.
6. Utilizing advanced automation tools to increase efficiency and accuracy in the estimation process.
7. Managing and updating the Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure accurate cost estimates and project timelines.
8. Conducting risk analysis to identify potential cost overruns and providing strategies to mitigate those risks.
9. Providing improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in industrial estimation or a related field.
3. Extensive knowledge of fabrication processes, mechanical drawings, automation, and BOM management.
4. Proficiency in using industry-standard software for cost estimation.
5. Exceptional numerical skills and a keen eye for detail.
