Akkodis is seeking an Industrial Equipment Technician (2nd shift) for a Contract to hire with a client in Glenwood, IL. The ideal candidate with experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and production efficiency.

Rate Range: $25/hour to $30/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Industrial Equipment Technician (2nd shift) Job Responsibilities include:

• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure reliable operations.

• Conduct daily inspections of equipment and facilities, identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical issues in a timely manner.

• Support engineering projects and process improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, productivity, and product quality.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, and PLC logic to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions.

• Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to meet operational goals and improve equipment reliability.

• Maintain maintenance records, prepare status reports, and ensure compliance with safety standards, preventive maintenance programs, and 5S methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, Technical Certification, or Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance supporting production and manufacturing equipment.

• Strong troubleshooting skills with experience in preventive maintenance, electrical systems, reading schematics, and PLC logic.

• Experience maintaining manufacturing equipment and facility systems, with knowledge of safety standards, power tools, and mechanical/electrical repairs.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
