The Engineering Manager will lead project and process engineering activities across new and repeat programs, ensuring customer requirements, cost targets, and delivery commitments are consistently met. This role is responsible for driving standardized engineering practices, overseeing estimating accuracy, improving ERP utilization, and developing engineering talent while supporting continuous improvement and value engineering initiatives.

Description

• Manage and develop a team of Project / Project‑Process Engineers
• Drive standardized engineering, estimating, and documentation best practices
• Oversee estimating activities and review costs, manufacturability, and quality alignment
• Ensure disciplined use of ERP systems (BOMs, routings, revisions, configuration control)
• Lead NPD and new project execution from process design through first article shipment
• Partner with Manufacturing to ensure clean handoffs and robust process documentation
• Drive value engineering, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide technical input for customer presentations, supplier engagements, and site visits
• Analyze planned vs. actual cost and process data to support decision‑making
• Support PFMEAs, time studies, and documented lessons learned
• Conduct performance reviews, goal setting, and career development for direct reports

Profile

• BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
• 10+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Proven experience managing engineers and delivering projects end‑to‑end
• Strong background in fabrication processes (sheet metal, welding, machining, assembly, heat treat)
• SolidWorks proficiency and strong ERP experience
• Estimating, cost analysis, and manufacturing launch expertise
• Working knowledge of GD&T and PFMEAs
• Strong communicator with the ability to lead, mentor, and influence cross‑functionally
• Self‑starter with excellent prioritization skills in a multi‑project environment
