Do you enjoy chasing down an intermittent electrical fault on a forklift one hour and performing a precision hydraulic adjustment the next? Are you as comfortable reading a wiring diagram as you are calibrating a sensor? If so, you’ll feel right at home here.

What you’ll do

  • Keep a diverse fleet of material handling equipment performing at its best through monitoring, trending, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Run a disciplined PM program aligned to OEM specs: oil/filter changes, belt replacements, calibrations, inspections, adjustments, and lubrication.
  • Capture every job in the CMMS—time, parts, and notes—so the team has clean data to plan with.
  • Decode plans, specifications, schematics, and manuals to pinpoint root causes and prevent repeats.
  • Pitch in with the battery team: repair chargers, perform battery change-outs, fix plugs/tips, water/wash batteries, and respond to acid spills.
  • Team up with building and refrigeration maintenance on general facility repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and refrigeration system maintenance/repairs.

What you know

  • Mechanical systems: transmissions, drive units, differentials, braking systems, internal combustion engines, telescopic masts, reach mechanisms, steering, suspension, and more.
  • AC/DC electrical as applied to MHE PM, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Hydraulics and hydraulic schematics; electrical schematics (AC/DC), drive motors, power amplifiers, and PLC-based controls.

What helps you succeed

  • 1–2 years entering work orders and PMs into a computerized tracking system (CMMS).
  • Familiarity with Crown, Raymond, and/or Toyota equipment is a plus.
  • Automotive technicians and wheeled-army mechanics are encouraged to apply—your skills transfer well.
