Position Overview: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for production equipment including high- and low-voltage systems, transformers, MCCs, power distribution panels, and plant utility systems. Diagnose electrical failures in motors, drives, PLC I/O, sensors, and control circuits while responding to production breakdowns to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for production equipment including high/low-voltage systems, transformers, MCCs, power distribution panels, lighting, emergency power, and plant utility systems
Diagnose electrical failures in motors, drives, PLC I/O, sensors, and control circuits; troubleshoot VFDs, servo drives, contactors, relays, and motor starters to minimize production downtime
Assist with PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and read/interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and wiring diagrams
Perform scheduled inspections on motors, panels, and wiring; check for overheating, vibration, insulation breakdown, and loose connections using predictive maintenance tools
Follow and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures; ensure work complies with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and local electrical codes with proper grounding, bonding, and arc-flash protection
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 4 years industrial electrician experience required
Proficient electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic experience and knowledge required
Strong understanding of 3-phase power systems
Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), VFDs, and industrial controls
Pneumatic and hydraulic systems experience
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
Experience troubleshooting motors, drives, sensors, control circuits, contactors, relays, and motor starters
