Amazon Prime Air is revolutionizing delivery through autonomous drone technology, aiming to deliver packages to customers in 30 minutes or less. Our breakthrough technologies, including advanced BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) capabilities and sophisticated detect-and-avoid systems, have earned FAA approvals and are setting new standards in autonomous delivery.

With operations already successful in multiple locations and expansion planned, we"re looking for expertise to drive site selection, standardization, and permit documentation. This role requires a keen eye for details and organization. In this role, you"ll work at the intersection of innovative infrastructure, operational readiness, and strategic deployment to help scale Prime Air"s revolutionary delivery system by enabling rapid launch of new facilities.

This position will work extensively with project stakeholders, business teams, and other internal/external partners to define, create, implement, and execute new projects through their lifecycle. Our ideal candidate will have experience at various stages of development including, but not limited to due diligence, conceptual design, estimating, contract management, stakeholder, management, procurement, and permitting.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in managing complex projects simultaneously with accelerated timelines across multiple time zones. You"ll be responsible for identifying viable sites, securing alignment from other business lines, and advancing permit sets in a timely matter. You are an effective written and verbal communicator and can navigate competing priorities across construction teams, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders while maintaining high visibility to leadership and setting up construction and operations for success.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead the pre-construction process for projects
  • Research and compile all project specifics including but not limited to site survey, landlord approvals, and permitting requirements in preparation for construction drawings.
  • Evaluate site feasibility and secure approvals from other business lines
  • Coordinate design efforts with contractors, operations, maintenance teams, and corporate teams to ensure technical and operational expertise if factored into design
  • Lead and review design with regard to quality, schedule, and costs
  • Partner with key operational experts across the company to lead, support, and influence new business initiatives.

This role requires travel, up to 50% of the time.

Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazons ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
