Role Focus

  • Territory: Primarily supports North and South Carolina; remote/home-based within the region.
  • Travel: Frequent trips by car and airplane to customer facilities.

Impact You’ll Make

  • Commission and certify CNC machines and automation cells to specification.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues using documentation, performance reports, and on-site inspection.
  • Drive corrective actions—repair, replacement, or adjustment—coordinating with engineering and customer service to accelerate resolution.
  • Deliver on-site troubleshooting support and technical guidance.
  • Document service activities and analyze recurring issues to inform design, production, and service enhancements.
  • Author/update service bulletins and handbooks based on field insights and engineering changes.
  • Lead safety-focused training sessions for customers and internal teams.
  • Serve as the communication bridge between customers and EMAG to ensure a superior service experience.
  • Maintain impeccable safety and housekeeping standards; represent EMAG with professionalism.

What You Bring

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) from a 2-year college/technical school or equivalent experience, plus 3–5 years with a machine tool company (or a comparable mix of education and experience).
  • Structured problem-solving approach; adept at analyzing data and developing alternatives.
  • Team-oriented troubleshooter who handles tough customer situations with composure.
  • Solid technical and mechanical understanding of EMAG or similar machine tools and automation platforms.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and basic knowledge of ISO 14001.
  • Commitment to safety and a clean, organized work environment.
  • Professional communication and appearance.
  • Ability to work long hours and overtime when required; reliable transportation for frequent regional and air travel.
