Position Summary:

The Indirect Procurement Analytics Manager is responsible for leading Gordon Food Services' North American digital transformation and optimization of indirect procurement activities along the Source-to-Pay (S2P) value chain. Owns the vision for and leads the execution of a world-class buying experience for internal end users via SAP Ariba. Drives continuous process improvement efforts, and implements best practices across GFS' North American business. Develops strategies to achieve indirect procurement category goals in achieving best-in-class, cost of goods and services for all business units including distribution, stores, and specialty companies. Leads the development of analytical tools that support negotiations and enable indirect strategic North American sourcing solutions. Works closely with relevant functional team leadership (IT, Finance, Supply Chain Center of Excellence, etc.).

What you will do:

  • Leads team responsible for development, execution and evolution of S2P strategies and action plans related to supplier enablement, catalog development, contract management, data governance, and user adoption.

  • Responsible for driving supplier and stakeholder engagement to ensure S2P transformation success (supplier on-boarding and adoption of SAP Ariba platform, catalog usage, availability of sourcing data, etc.).

  • Ensures the delivery of world-class user experience of the S2P application. Directs team members to engage with application users frequently in order to resolve buying issues and provide further education / enhanced knowledge of the application and its processes. Influences internal IT team and/or SAP Ariba team to help resolve technical issues.

  • Accountable for indirect master data management strategy; leads team responsible for ensuring supplier, spend, usage data is effectively captured, protected and utilized. Directs team to ensure data can be leveraged to drive effective category management and procurement initiatives (Analysts to provide this support through design and creation of robust analysis and tools).

  • Uses ongoing stakeholder feedback, market research, and data analysis to drive continuous procurement S2P platform improvement.

  • Responsible for representing procurement business agreement content within SAP Ariba, leading to positive supplier experiences.

  • Leads vision, strategy and application for SAP Ariba and P-Card tools.

  • Responsible for integration of S2P strategy into indirect procurement business processes.

  • Responsible for creating necessary training curriculum for technology and process solutions; trains the trainer within the business.

  • Responsible for the development of dashboards and leadership reporting for key indirect metrics.

  • Enables efficient connectivity between the indirect procurement and supply chain organizations through development and execution of plans for continuous performance improvement.

  • Continually evaluates (and evolves) structure, process and technology, to achieve long term business objectives.

  • Interviews, hires, trains, and retains staff. Conducts performance monitoring of staff, initiates follow through with disciplinary action and termination in consultation with Human Resources when appropriate for the department. Mentors, motivates, and develops staff. Serves as a role model.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

When you will work:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

  • Hybrid Work Schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day from home.

What you will bring to the table:

  • At least seven years of previous experience, preferably in the foodservice industry, with procurement, IT, finance, or another supply chain discipline, with negotiation abilities and working knowledge of vendor communities.

  • Must also have previous leadership experience with demonstrated success.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Business Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field required.

  • Personifies a helpful, eager, and diligent spirit to serve all team members.

  • Must have good math aptitude.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrates high emotional intelligence by soliciting diverse perspectives and integrating constructive feedback to improve team outcomes.

  • Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize and be able to work independently and within a team environment.

  • Professional demeanor, honesty, integrity, drive, tenacity, determination, and a willingness to learn.
