JOB OVERVIEW / PURPOSE The Buyer Indirect will be responsible for executing purchase orders for indirect materials, services and general operating supplies from demand (requisition) through delivery. Using a clear understanding of financial impact and business accounting as it pertains to purchasing, maintaining communication with the Supply Chain Manager, suppliers and internal customers 3. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES " Enter and process purchase orders according to established procedures and policies " Confirm delivery dates with suppliers to ensure internal needs are met. " Perform daily monitoring of open purchase orders to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery " Resolve potential problems or material delays by actively communicating with suppliers and internal requestors. " Process purchase orders for payment including receiving invoices and matching them to line items on the purchase order. " Communicate with internal customers and/or vendors when discrepancies arise between invoices and orders. " Provide PO management by ensuring the closure/completeness of purchase orders. " Initiate and manage supplier onboarding and contract management per policy and procedures " Ensure vendors meet established compliance standards. " Other duties as assigned. 4. PROFILE Competencies, skills, knowledge & qualifications needed to fulfill the position. 4.1. Professional Experience & Specific Skills " Minimum 3-5years in a indirect materials/MRO in a highly regulated industry " Experience working with ERP programs " Strong history of working in a fast paced environment while abiding by processes and protocols " APICS CPIM or CSCP Certification a plus " Extremely organized and detail-oriented " Must have strong communication skills " Must be very processed oriented and maintain a constant vigilance towards process improvement by proposing new methods and technological/automated solutions " Demonstrated ability in developing effective long term strategies to support business pStrong ability to influence and align others " Strong Project Management skills " Proficiency in MS Office tools " Problem solving and analytical skills 4.2.
