More Than a Job — A Place to Belong

At Cedar Community, wellbeing is woven into the heart of who we are. As an Exercise & Wellbeing Specialist, you're not just leading workouts - you're empowering residents to stay active, confident, and connected. Your encouragement helps someone regain strength after an illness, maintain independence, or simply rediscover joy in movement.

Here, you'll be part of a supportive team that values compassion, creativity, ad genuine human connection. We celebrate small victories, cheer on progress, and create meaningful moments every day. If you're passionate about helping older adults live their best lives, you'll find a true sense of purpose-and a place to belong- right here.

  • Lead a variety of group exercise classes for all fitness levels
  • Work one-on-one with residents to understand personal goals and create or follow customized or therapy-ordered exercise programs

  • Organize and instruct specialized classes, small groups, and community outings that support physical, intellectual, and social wellbeing
  • Encourage resident participation and provide motivation, support, and positive engagement
  • Ensure safe and effective use of all training and wellness equipment
  • Generate, review, and distribute resident and community reports as scheduled or requested
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support whole-person wellbeing
  • Participate in team meetings, support calls, and connect with resources as needed

What You’ll Need

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in kinesiology, exercise physiology, health promotion, recreational therapy, or a related field preferred
  • Background in Physical or Occupational Therapy desired
  • One-year related experience
  • Accredited fitness certification required
  • Experience working with older adults or equivalent knowledge
  • Personal Trainer or Group Exercise certification preferred
