Inbound Supervisor:
Manage day to day operations in the receiving department. Daily operations and responsibilities include:
Manage a team of Inbound Dock Clerks and Warehouse Associates to ensure all shipments are properly received in a timely manner upon getting unloaded
Assign side work to Warehouse Associates and Inbound Dock Clerk(s) to ensure Inbound is kept clean and ready for the proceeding work day or future projects. Such sidework can include.
Cleaning trash on the ground
Maintain a clean office, mobile workstation, and work environment.
Heavy Machinery inspection sheets are filled out at the start of each day before operating.
Heavy Machinery is put away in its proper location and plugged in.
Dock doors 31-39 as well as personnel doors in the specified area are all closed and locked at the end of the work day.
Oversee that all tickets assigned to Inbound in Freshdesk has been responded to and status updated within 2 hours of being assigned the ticket.
Ensure charges for receiving all shipments are captured and correctly calculated. Any returns or shipments belonging to clients inventoried in the Pick and Pack department need to be staged in a designated receiving area and the supervisor of Pick and Pack needs to be notified to ensure product is received in a timely manner.
Ensure dock clerks have the necessary training to receive products for all clients under Best Way Distribution.
Ensure any warehouse associate operating heavy machinery has been properly trained
If a floor loaded container is scheduled to come into Best Way Distribution, the Inbound Dock Manager needs to prepare a team of Warehouse Associates and any materials/supplies needed to unload the container.
Ensure all pallets received get a Moveable Unit License Plate tagged for proper putaway.
Approves timecards and manage time off requests on Payentry for warehouse associates
