Primary Purpose:
Provide supervision and support for students assigned to in-school suspension in a structured environment that promotes appropriate behavior, academic progress, and student accountability.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate's degree, two years of study at an institution of higher learning preferred
Valid Texas educational aide certificate or will obtain
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of student supervision and behavior management practices
Ability to maintain a structured, orderly, and safe environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and administrators
Ability to follow campus and district procedures
Basic computer and recordkeeping skills
Experience:
Experience working with school-age children preferred
