Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced HVAC Estimator and In-Home Sales Comfort Advisor to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with strong HVAC technical knowledge, estimating expertise, and a passion for helping homeowners improve comfort, efficiency, and indoor air quality.

The successful candidate will leverage their expertise to diagnose residential comfort needs, perform ACCA Manual J load calculations, develop accurate project estimates, and guide homeowners through tailored HVAC solutions. Company-provided leads are supplied, allowing the candidate to focus on consultation, sales, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert company-provided, pre-qualified, scheduled warm and hot leads into completed sales opportunities through in-home consultations.
• Conduct on-site and remote assessments to evaluate home comfort issues and identify opportunities for HVAC upgrades, electrification, insulation improvements, and air sealing solutions.
• Perform ACCA Manual J load calculations and gather accurate home data to support system design recommendations.
• Prepare detailed HVAC proposals and cost estimates that align with customer needs and company standards.
• Educate homeowners on HVAC system options, energy-efficient technologies, heat pumps, indoor air quality solutions, and available incentives.
• Present customized recommendations, address customer concerns, negotiate effectively, and close sales.
• Utilize financing programs and promotional offerings to improve project affordability and increase customer conversion rates.
• Collaborate closely with installation and project management teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to project completion.
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities within CRM systems.
• Ensure all estimates and proposals are completed accurately, professionally, and within established timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC estimating, project management, in-home sales, or a related role within the residential HVAC industry.
• Demonstrated experience performing energy audits, electrification assessments, and ACCA Manual J load calculations.
• Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems, installation methods, and industry best practices.
• Understanding of construction principles and estimating related to HVAC, electrical systems, insulation, and air sealing.
• Proven track record of success in consultative sales, customer service, and closing opportunities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Experience using CRM platforms and HVAC load calculation/estimating software.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential HVAC sales, estimating, and project management. This role is responsible for evaluating customer needs, preparing accurate proposals, conducting energy assessments, and overseeing projects from initial consultation through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with homeowners to assess heating, cooling, and indoor comfort needs.
• Develop detailed estimates and proposals for HVAC replacement and installation projects.
• Perform Manual J load calculations to properly size HVAC systems.
• Conduct energy audits and electrification assessments to identify opportunities for energy-efficient upgrades.
• Present system recommendations, pricing, financing options, and project timelines to customers.
• Manage HVAC projects from sale through installation, ensuring quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with installation teams, vendors, and internal departments to maintain project schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, contracts, and project documentation.
• Stay informed on current HVAC technologies, energy-efficiency programs, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC sales, estimating, comfort advising, or project management.
• Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems and installation processes.
• Experience performing Manual J calculations.
• Familiarity with energy audits and electrification assessments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms, estimating software, and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally within the assigned territory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with heat pump systems and home electrification projects.
• Knowledge of utility rebate programs and energy-efficiency incentives.
• HVAC certifications or related technical training.
