What it takes
- High school diploma or GED
- EPA Type I or EPA Universal certification
- Solid mechanical aptitude; skilled with testing and repair tools
- Prior appliance repair experience preferred
- Ability to follow directions and adhere to process for consistent quality
- Comfort using a smartphone for tasks such as ordering parts
- Valid driver’s license for the state(s) in which you work
- Travel readiness up to 100% and flexibility to work variable hours with required overtime
- Ability to read and apply technical content to solve problems and complete jobs
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to read, write, and speak English
- Physical readiness: constantly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 lbs; frequently up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs
- Constantly reach outward; handle and finger objects; stand, walk, sit, and type; frequently bend, squat, kneel, twist, turn, stoop, climb, and crawl; occasionally reach above shoulder
- Ability to drive automatic transmission vehicle
