We are seeking a detail-oriented US Import Trade Compliance Specialist to support international trade operations and ensure compliance with U.S. import regulations. The role requires expertise in HTS classification, USMCA regulations, and U.S. Customs procedures while managing import documentation, customs entries, and regulatory reporting. The specialist will collaborate with internal teams, brokers, and government agencies to maintain compliance, improve processes, and support accurate trade documentation using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel, and other internal systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate HTS classification and ensure compliance with USMCA certifications and regulations.

  • Manage U.S. Customs entry writing, import documentation, and adherence to U.S. Customs procedures.

  • Coordinate in-bond transportation, Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ), and Bonded Warehouse activities.

  • Prepare and submit Partner Government Agency (PGA) reporting and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Maintain import records, review shipment documentation, and resolve discrepancies with brokers and logistics partners.

  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced MS Excel, and internal systems for tracking and reporting trade data.

  • Support compliance audits and process improvements; leverage data analytics where applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, Business, or related field.

  • Strong experience with HTS classification, USMCA compliance, U.S. Customs procedures, customs entry writing, in-bond transportation, Foreign Trade Zones, and Bonded Warehouses.

  • Experience with Partner Government Agency (PGA) reporting and import documentation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel; ability to quickly learn custom software.

  • Strong communication skills with English proficiency required; Spanish is a plus.

  • Experience in data analytics or trade data reporting is an advantage.
