About The Role
The Implementation Engineer is responsible for the design and deployment of Seegrid AMRs/automated material handling solutions. He/she acts as the onsite lead for the implementation while ensuring the application is operating as designed. Ultimately, receiving customer acceptance of the installed Seegrid solution.
The Implementation Engineer must be personally engaging with customers at all levels, embrace new challenges, be energized by being on the road, and have methodical and meticulous problem solving skills.
Responsibilities Include:
Responsible for owning and designing the Technical Solution that will be implemented, along with completion of the Functional Specification document
Responsible for ensuring that the Field Services Tech implements the Functional Specification as designed
Assist in training routes on an as needed basis
Responsible for complete validation of the designed solution. This includes but is not limited to all programmed routes, Supervisor rules and logic, configurations, switches, maps and stations
Attend weekly update calls to report on the status of the project
Application design POC for site leadership
Develop partnership with key internal stakeholders: Implementation, Project Management, Sales, Engineering, Customer Support, and Field Services
Proactive communication and support of project
Tasked with updating all necessary documentation, post implementation. This includes the Functional Specification, route map, Supervisor rules, etc. and capture any necessary credentials for Supervisor access
Seegrid POC during Implementation installation week
Become Seegrid technology subject matter expert
Required Qualifications:
Two to four years of software technology work experience
BS in Industrial Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
Comfortable working cross-functionally; ability to persuade internal resources
Technically proficient with an aptitude for analyzing data
The candidate must be able to work in a team environment and proficient in standard computer software to include AutoCAD
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to deal with complexity and manage change
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship-building skills and communication skills
Challenge the "status quo", dig into details and root cause analysis
Persuasive and personable with strong verbal and written communication
Leading solutions to complex problems and driving project progress
Ability to travel 70% of the time
Desirable Qualifications:
Hybrid obligation, with the ideal candidate domiciled in the greater Pittsburgh, PA or Detroit, MI areas
Knowledge of business process engineering, requirement engineering, and testing practices
Hands-on experience configuring, testing, and implementing autonomous equipment
Lead continuous improvement workshops on processes and procedures
Simulation experience
Knowledge of warehouse management system integration with material handling equipment, preferred
