Impact General Manager
We are seeking a highly adaptable and results-driven Impact General Manager to support our portfolio of hotels during leadership transitions, performance improvement initiatives, and new property ramp-ups.
This is not a maintenance role—this is a fix-it, rebuild-it, elevate-it role.
This role is designed for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced, changing environments and can quickly assess operations, build team alignment, and drive measurable results. The Impact General Manager will travel frequently and serve as the on-site leader, ensuring continuity, stability, and performance during critical periods.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Stabilization
- Step into General Manager responsibilities at assigned properties on a temporary or interim basis
- Quickly assess operational performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective action plans
- Ensure compliance with brand standards (Hilton, Marriott, IHG) and Soartress operating procedures
- Drive consistency across all departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Sales
Team Leadership & Culture
- Establish immediate credibility and trust with on-site teams
- Coach, mentor, and support department leaders to improve performance and accountability
- Reinforce Soartress culture, service standards, and leadership expectations
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training as needed
Financial Performance
- Manage hotel P&L, focusing on revenue optimization, cost control, and labor management
- Aggressively manage labor, expenses, and productivity
- Identify and implement strategies to improve GOP, RevPAR, and overall profitability
- Partner with Sales and Revenue Management to drive top-line performance
Transitions & Stability
- Support new hotel openings, brand conversions, and property repositioning efforts
- Lead transitions during leadership changes, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Implement company systems, processes, and reporting standards
Guest Experience & Service Recovery
- Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction and brand compliance scores
- Address guest concerns promptly and effectively
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional hospitality
Rapid Assessment & Action
- Conduct immediate, no-nonsense operational assessments within the first 72 hours on property
- Identify breakdowns in leadership, service delivery, financial performance, and compliance
- Build and execute a clear, aggressive 30-60-90 day turnaround plan
Reporting & Communication
- Provide regular updates to corporate leadership on property performance, challenges, and progress
- Maintain accurate reporting and documentation of operational improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Operations teams
Qualifications
- 5+ years of General Manager experience in select-service or extended-stay hotels
- Experience with Marriott, Hilton, or IHG brands strongly preferred
- Proven ability to turn around underperforming hotels or lead through transitions
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing hotel P&L statements
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Highly adaptable, self-motivated, and able to quickly integrate into new teams
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 80–100%)
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary + bonus potential
- Travel accommodations and expense reimbursement
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits
- Paid time off and flexible scheduling between assignments
- Opportunity to make a high-impact contribution across a growing hotel portfolio
Why This Role is Different
This isn't a traditional Task Force General Manager role. As an Impact GM, you are the problem-solver, the culture carrier, and the performance driver—stepping in where you're needed most and leaving each property stronger than you found it.
