Fractional iMIS Database Director / Data Operations Lead (Remote | Part-Time)

We are seeking an experienced iMIS Database Director / Data Operations Lead for a long-term fractional engagement supporting a mission-driven organization. This role is ideal for someone who can balance strategic leadership with hands-on iMIS administration and data operations.

Engagement Details

  • Part-time: 10–15 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary owner and subject matter expert for the iMIS platform
  • Provide strategic guidance on system enhancements, data governance, and platform optimization
  • Manage hands-on iMIS operations including:
    • IQA queries, reports, and dashboards
    • Data imports, cleanup, and mass updates
    • Duplicate management and data integrity issues
    • Configuration of panels, workflows, business objects, and security
  • Maintain executive and operational reporting accuracy
  • Support staff training and improve adoption of system best practices
  • Coordinate with vendors, implementation partners, and integrated systems teams
  • Assist with upgrades, testing, integrations, and ongoing system improvements

Required Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of database management experience
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on iMIS experience
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • iMIS EMS
    • IQA
    • RiSE / iMIS Web CMS
    • SQL
  • Experience with reporting, data governance, and system administration
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and API integrations
  • Association, nonprofit, or membership organization experience
  • Experience with Finance enSync or related financial systems
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic thinking and day-to-day execution within the iMIS environment.
