Job Summary and Qualifications

  • ​Initiates intradepartmental problem solving and communication. Provides leadership guidance and ​instruction to staff. 
  • Directs the coordination of patient flow through the department. 
  • Assists in the development and implementation of department PI functions to include: audits, hand hygiene observations and turn-around-times. 
  • Coordinates troubleshooting for diagnostic imaging equipment. ​​​
  • Works closely with Imaging Director, establishing job expectations and monitor work performance of staff. Maintains appropriate staffing levels to coincide with patient volumes and budget productivity. 
  • Assists Imaging Director in daily KRONOS and PRODUCTIVITY review. ​​
  • Assists Radiation Safety Officer with quarterly Radiation Safety Committee Meetings. ​​​
  • Actively involved in specific projects requested by Imaging Director. 
  • Assists with cost containment of inventory management (SMART). 
  • Serves as PACS “Super-User”, coordinates troubleshooting for PACS operations. Assists in the enforcement of Policies and Procedures for PACS. Assists in daily review of unspecified exams and errors in PACS for all modalities. 
  • Works closely with Imaging Director to complete annual employee evaluations and competencies.
  • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner. 
  • Maintains strict confidentiality regarding employees and patients according to Policy and ​ Procedures. 
  • Complies and maintains educational requirements. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the department.  

What qualifications you will need:

  •  Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Military training in Radiology. ​​Required​ 
  • Three years minimum experience as a staff technologist. Required 
  • Bachelors of Science Preferred 
  • Two years minimum lead tech/supervisor experience. Preferred Licenses, Certifications, & Training
  • ARRT (R) Registered​ ​​Required​
