Imaging Assistant - PRN/Per Diem
Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking an Imaging Assistant on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As an Imaging Assistant, you will perform various clerical functions as needed by Radiology Department leadership and staff. You will also assist the radiologist with various functions of the radiology reading room. This is an ideal role for a student enrolled in a radiologic technology program.

Your tasks and responsibilities as an Imaging Assistant may include but are not limited to:
· Prepare multi-viewer for Radiologists
· Prepare radiographs for viewing by Radiologist, including previous reports and films
· Assist with consultation processes for special procedures with Radiologist
· Responsible for film control, correspondence, customer relations, physician relations, answering telephones, filing and calling reports to physicians
· Other duties may include assisting physicians, ER and OR with radiographic needs, patient transport and exam room preparation
Qualifications
· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
· Prior transport or other patient care experience preferred but not required
· Critical thinking, service excellence, PC and good interpersonal communication skills
· Ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal instructionsLifting 50 lbs maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs
