Full Time Shift Manager – Dairy Store/Parlor

Schedule Approximately 40 hours per week (hours vary; must include evenings, weekends, and holidays)
The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing daily Dairy Store/Parlor operations, leading team members, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth shift execution, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, and creating a positive experience for every customer.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily shift operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Lead and support team members to ensure efficient and accurate task completion
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Scoop ice cream and prepare milkshakes, sundaes, and other menu items
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment inside and outside the store
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
- Handle customer concerns and resolve issues in a professional manner
- Assist with training and coaching team members
- Support additional duties as assigned
Physical and Work Requirements:
- Ability to stand and remain on your feet for the entire shift (excluding breaks)
- Frequently lift, carry, and move items such as tubs of ice cream, soft serve mix, and supplies (up to 25–50 lbs.)
- Perform repetitive motions such as scooping, reaching, bending, and twisting
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures, including refrigerated and freezer areas
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent customer interaction
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous food service and/or leadership experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Team-oriented mindset with strong leadership skills
- Trustworthy, reliable, punctual, and flexible
