Facilitates and maintains communication with various ancillary areas within the Wound Healing Institute. Provides documented education for hyperbaric and wound care staff on hyperbaric physiology, decompression equipment functions, and patient safety. Conducts hyperbaric chamber system orientation and serves as a preceptor for staff and physicians, ensuring hyperbaric safety and chamber competencies. Coordinates and supervises safety drills and exercises. Maintains oversight of all hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) logs. Assists with patient care duties as needed and maintains required competencies. Attends and participates in staff meetings and required in-services, providing HBO in-services as appropriate. Maintains and orders hyperbaric supplies as needed. Participates in professional organizations such as the Associates of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS).
