HEICO Component Repair Group, a leading provider of FAA-approved aircraft component repair and overhaul services, is seeking a skilled Hydraulics Technician to join our dynamic team.
In this position, the Hydraulics Technician is responsible for performing maintenance repair and overhaul of hydraulics units in accordance with applicable OEM CMMS approved technical data and regulatory requirements. Daily activities include disassembling and evaluating components, troubleshooting hydraulic system issues, performing repairs and functional testing, documenting maintenance activities, and collaborating with engineering and quality teams to return components to serviceable condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, disassemble, clean, repair, and assemble hydraulic components
- Diagnose hydraulic systems and component malfunctions using technical manuals and testing equipment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, work instructions and specifications
- Use precision measuring tools and equipment to verify component conformity
- Ensure all repairs comply with FAA regulations, customer specifications, and company standards
- Complete accurate maintenance, repair, and inspection documentation
- Identify and report nonconforming parts or materials
- Maintain tooling, equipment, and work area in a clean and serviceable condition
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Skills/Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be able to read and write English
- 2+ years of experience as a Hydraulics Technician
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and standards preferred
- Ability to read and interpret manuals and technical data
- Knowledge on using precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand or sit at a bench for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting
- Ability to work around chemicals while wearing the appropriate PPE
- Ability to work in a shop environment with moderate noise levels and exposure to mechanical equipment
