If you can read hydraulic and electrical schematics, diagnose faults on Grove and Manitowoc systems, and stand behind your work with OEM-level testing, you’ll feel at home here. You’ll report to the Service Manager and join MGX’s shop team maintaining and repairing mobile cranes and boom trucks.

Do these describe you?
- High School Diploma or GED; at least two years as a Crane Mechanic/Technician (preferred).
- Hands-on with Grove RT & TMS, Grove GMK European, Manitowoc EPIC/Traditional, and National Boom Trucks (preferred).
- Comfortable interpreting electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Customer-focused communicator.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory record (preferred).
- Basic computer literacy (preferred).
- Own a complete set of hand tools up to 1.5 inches (required).
What you’ll tackle
- Operate and inspect cranes to identify defects.
- Diagnose, repair, and troubleshoot mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes, including hydraulic and electrical components.
- Examine wear and damage using micrometers and gauges; interpret parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Test mechanical, electronic, electrical, and hydraulic systems after repair/modification to verify OEM specifications.
- Stage work by confirming parts and drawings are accurate and complete.
- Conduct precise annual inspections.
- Accurately complete work reports, time sheets, hours overviews, and expense reports.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Deliver outstanding customer service.

Schedule and environment
Standard hours are 7:00 am–4:00 pm; overtime and some weekends may be required based on workload.
