QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional insurance or business-related education preferred.
  • Previous insurance industry experience required; new business or case management experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to review and analyze documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with underwriting, sales teams, brokers and external partners.
  • PC proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review new business case submissions and sold case paperwork for completeness and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with Sales Management, BCBS representatives, brokers, agency managers and other partners regarding new business activity.
  • Resolve escalated issues related to new business submissions and case processing.
  • Interact with Underwriting to assess and mediate risk.
  • Communicate underwriting findings and case updates to internal and external partners.
  • Set up documentation and notifications for reinsurers and the Reinsurance Department.
  • Act as a liaison between Marketing, Underwriting and Policy Issue Coders.
  • Verify rates for accuracy including commission levels and applicable discounts.
  • Identify commission sub-types for specific products and coordinate with the Commissions Department when needed.
  • Validate broker licensing and appointment information.
  • Audit pricing discounts taken by Marketing to ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures.
  • Assist with projects, process reviews and departmental initiatives as assigned.

Hybrid New Business Case Specialist Needed for Insurance Company

 

Our client, a busy and growing Insurance Company located in Lombard, IL, has immediate staffing needs for two New Business Case Specialists. These positions are responsible for the new case submission process and review of sold case paperwork for completeness and accuracy in order to release the acceptance of risk for new business. The role supports front-end new group business sales activity and ensures proper coordination with Sales Management, BCBS representatives, agency managers, brokers, managing general agents and other business partners.  These are full time, M-F contract positions.  

 

This is a hybrid temporary assignment expected to continue through the end of the year.

The client will provide a laptop.
