Cell Site Equipment Engineer
Location: Bloomington, MN
Work Setup: Hybrid (Tuesday-Thursday Onsite)

Our client is seeking an experienced Cell Site Equipment Engineer to support macro modification projects for one ofthe nation's most reliable wireless networks. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented telecommunications professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment coordinating equipment procurement, deployment, and integration for cellular network projects.

Cell Site Equipment Engineer Responsibilities
  • Determine equipment requirements for new and existing macro cell site projects based on engineering plans and project scope.
  • Coordinate ordering, tracking, and integration of network equipment including antennas, fiber optic cable, and DC power systems.
  • Partner with RF Design, Operations, Construction, Real Estate, Facilities, and System Performance teams to meet deployment milestones.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery and successful project completion.
  • Monitor equipment expenditures and support cost-reduction initiatives through efficient inventory management and just-in-time ordering.
  • Initiate and track material requests from centralized warehouses.
  • Oversee equipment installation, acceptance, and vendor payment processes using PeopleSoft Equipment Procurement.
  • Review engineering drawings and documentation for accuracy.
  • Utilize tools such as FUZE, PURCH, CATS/FULCRUM, and MapInfo to support equipment procurement and deployment activities.
  • Attend project update meetings and provide status reporting to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications

Cell Site Equipment Engineer Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years of relevant telecommunications or wireless network experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of DC power systems within telecommunications environments.
  • Understanding of cellular network architecture and macro cell site deployment.
  • Experience with Ericsson base station equipment.
  • Familiarity with CATS/FULCRUM, MapInfo, FUZE, PURCH, and PeopleSoft systems.
