The School District of West Salem is right next door to La Crosse in the beautiful Coulee Region of Western Wisconsin. Our 3 buildings are within walking distance of each other on an approximate 100-acre campus on the edge of town. Students in grades K-12 are issued MacBooks or iPads as part of its 1:1 digital learning environment.
The district is looking for a Hybrid/AV Technology Support Specialist for our district to "Serve with passion to ignite creativity, innovation, and excellence." School district employees must have strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to work well with adults, children of all ages, and the public.
Under the general supervision of the Director of Technology Services, the Hybrid AV/Technology Support Specialist has the following responsibilities:
Heider Center Needs
Knowledge of audio control board/systems and lighting controls
Experience with Apple and Windows systems
Working with staff to support school functions
School Board Needs
Prepare streaming, recording, video, and audio needs for bi-monthly board meetings
District-Wide Needs
Interactive panels, projectors, audio and visual components
Inventory management
Firmware and system update management
Rise Vision
Shared common spaces (Gym, Commons, Assembly rooms)
Classroom AV technologies
Apple TV Management
Display board management
School Audio and Video Systems management
Working with various vendors to troubleshoot/investigate issues
Familiarity with camera security systems
other AV-related responsibilities as determined by the IT Director
Lifting heavy boxes or equipment up to 50 lbs.
Standing, walking, crawling, and sitting.
Manual dexterity for use of multiple input
