HVAC Technician – Federal Facility

Locations: Tulsa Federal Court Building, Oklahoma

Shift: Monday - Friday, 6am - 3pm

Position Overview

The Kleane Kare Team, Inc. (KKT) is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to support operations and maintenance services at federally owned and operated courthouse facilities in Tulsa and Muskogee, Oklahoma. The HVAC Technician will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operation of commercial HVAC/R systems while ensuring compliance with federal, safety, and contractual standards.

This position is ideal for a dependable and safety-focused technician with strong commercial HVAC experience, troubleshooting skills, and experience working in secure or government environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial HVAC/R systems
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC equipment and system issues
  • Service and maintain:
    • Air handlers
    • Chillers
    • Boilers
    • VAV systems
    • Heat pumps
    • Rooftop units
  • Monitor and adjust Building Automation Systems (BAS)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Maintain service logs, maintenance records, and equipment documentation
  • Ensure systems meet federal energy efficiency and indoor air quality standards
  • Respond to routine and emergency HVAC service calls
  • Support energy conservation initiatives and operational efficiency efforts
  • Follow OSHA safety standards and PPE requirements at all times

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical HVAC certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial HVAC experience
  • EPA Universal Certification required
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to pass federal background investigation (HSPD-12 compliant)
  • Experience working in federal facilities or under government contracts strongly preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders, and use of hand/power tools

Work Environment

  • Work performed in secure federal facilities
  • Indoor and outdoor work environments
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and mechanical/electrical equipment hazard
