Job Title: HVAC Technician - Conditioned Air License Contractor
Location: Rincon, GA 31326
Type: Contract
Compensation: $32.00 - $50.00 (DOE)
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection, repair, installation, and alteration of air purification units, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration systems, and related equipment and facilities.
- Execute preventive maintenance and routine servicing of HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Understand basic electrical theory including AC and DC currents, single-phase and three-phase circuits up to 480 volts.
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits using multimeters; read current and resistance values accurately.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, welding torches, vacuum pumps, and test equipment; maintain tools and parts inventory.
- Work cooperatively with other mechanics, technicians, and tradespeople.
- Maintain regular attendance and adhere to safety practices and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, including work at heights, climbing ladders, and working off platforms.
Requirements
- Experience in HVAC including refrigerant controls, electric motors (3-phase and 1-phase), motor controls (contractors, starters, relays, disconnects, thermostats).
- Hold a Conditioned Air Contractor License for the State of Georgia.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration concepts, materials, methods, and safety regulations.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to read technical manuals and record-keeping techniques.
- Physical capability to perform standing, walking, bending, squatting, lifting, and work at heights.
- Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hats, safety glasses, ear protection, masks, vests, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
