Express Employment Professionals is hiring an experienced HVAC professional for our client in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Since 2005, this locally trusted team has served homes and businesses throughout Northeast Arkansas with installation, repair, maintenance, and indoor air quality expertise—covering mini-splits, geothermal systems, heat pumps, and more.
A Day in the Field
Your morning begins with a review of work orders and a quick load-out of parts and tools. By mid-morning, you’re installing a high-efficiency heat pump, reading wiring diagrams to ensure a seamless start-up. After lunch, you’re troubleshooting a mini-split, documenting findings and explaining options to a homeowner. You wrap up by commissioning a rooftop unit, logging service details, and returning a clean, organized vehicle—ready for tomorrow.
What You’ll Do
- Install, replace, and commission residential and commercial HVAC systems
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and related components
- Install and service heat pumps, mini-splits, geothermal systems, and indoor air quality equipment
- Inspect HVAC systems and provide professional repair or replacement recommendations
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Test system performance and verify proper operation after installation or repair
- Maintain accurate service records and work orders
- Communicate clearly with customers about findings, options, and next steps
- Follow company safety procedures and industry regulations at all times
- Participate in on-call rotations as needed
- Keep company vehicles, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good condition
What You’ll Bring
- Proven HVAC installation and/or service experience (required)
- EPA Certification (required; Universal preferred)
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Skill in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems
- Solid understanding of installation standards and service procedures
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team setting
- Strong customer service and communication abilities
- Capability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Comfort working on ladders, in crawl spaces, attics, and on rooftops
Preferred
- Arkansas HVAC License (or the ability to obtain)
- Experience with geothermal systems, mini-splits, and commercial HVAC equipment
- Sheet metal fabrication background
- Familiarity with Carrier equipment and controls
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- Overtime and emergency service calls as needed
